If you were a fan of hockey in the early 1990s, the prospect of a puck-less game would have seemed like a pipe dream.
It was a game played on a wooden rink, and with a net, not a puck.
The players had to wear helmets and sticks, and their opponents had to protect them.
And in the playoffs, no one ever tried to get a puck past the net.
Even today, when there are only about 20 teams in the NHL, there is no reason to expect that the NHL would be playing on a completely different surface.
It’s a far cry from the classic ice hockey that dominated arenas in the 1930s and 1940s, when players wore helmets and a goalie was the center of attention.
For decades, hockey in North America was played on an artificial surface that made the game difficult to watch and impossible to enjoy.
And if the sport had been played on this artificial surface, the NHL’s future would have looked pretty bleak.
But that is changing.
The NHL is in the process of developing a new artificial surface.
And it will be played on.
In a new report, the league says it is working with the US Department of Defense to find a way to move forward on its long-standing goal of a completely artificial ice surface in hockey arenas.
A major problem with artificial ice in hockey is that it’s too expensive and too time-consuming to make it permanent.
And the league has been looking at ways to make artificial ice permanent for a long time.
Last season, the National Hockey League announced that it was working with a partner to create a system that would use water to build artificial ice at a cost of about $300 million.
The plan calls for the creation of a system called Advanced Artificial Ice that could be installed by 2020.
And this year, the NBA also began using advanced ice technology, which includes creating a new ice surface that would cost $300m.
The goal of this new project is to “create an artificial ice system that will be durable, cost effective and safe for use,” according to a news release from the National Ice Hockey League.
But there is still a long way to go.
“The NHL will continue to evaluate the technology in the field,” the release said.
“As a result, the potential for the development of an ice surface for the National Football League remains very limited.”
That is, it is not clear how the new system will be able to make up for the fact that it will require new equipment, including the use of new technology and the use to make ice.
For example, the ice that would be used to build the new artificial ice is not as thin as it could be, and there is a question of whether the new ice would be as durable as the existing ice.
It is also unclear whether the NHL will be paying for the new equipment with its existing revenue.
“It is very difficult to predict when this project will be complete, given the nature of the technology that is being developed,” the NHL said.
But the league said that the work will help the league “maintain its current level of competitiveness, both on the ice and in the market.”
And the ice surface could also help the NHL maintain a competitive edge in the growing popularity of other sports, like soccer.
There is also an additional benefit: “The construction of the system could significantly improve the quality of the ice in arenas,” the league stated.
