Tech companies must get their students on track with the right software and software training to help them stay safe from cyber attacks, a group of high-profile companies said in a report released Monday.
The Cyber Security Awareness Week is an annual initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to promote awareness and provide tools to help schools and universities keep students safe.
The report, titled Cybersecurity Awareness Week 2018: The Next Generation of Learning and Engagement, comes as tech companies struggle to keep students in the classroom and prepare them for an evolving world.
More than half of the nation’s 1.1 million schools and colleges are still struggling with cybersecurity, according to the report.
